Rochester - Complete (1)

John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester: The Complete Works (Penguin, 1994, ed. Frank H. Ellis) Not entirely clear that this is a complete works, since it doesn't include Sodom for one, and Rochester's papers were in chaos at his death. Incidentally, whenever Rochester says something the editor doesn't like, we are told that he is being ironic, "Not really speaking in his own voice, old man." Faggot literary criticism at its worst. I suppose someone needs to do the dog work of establishing the texts, just like I need a fluff girl on the set. But my fluff girl isn't paid for her literary opinions.
