George Sand: Lélia, ed. Pierre Raboul (Garnier, Paris, 1960 and 1985) I’m surprised I finished this book. Actually I’m surprised anyone finished this book. Lélia’s take on life can be summarized thusly: “I would believe in god except for my suspicion that I am god.”
