Modal Logic Proof of the Age of the Earth

I have heard say – and I have no doubt that what I heard is the gospel truth – that Plantinga, along with assorted Creationists, believes that the earth is a mere 6,000 years old. What’s more, Plantinga has a possible worlds proof to that effect. It runs something like this: God exists in every possible world. God created the earth 6,000 years ago in at least one possible world. Therefore, god created the earth 6,000 (earth) years ago in all possible worlds. The actual world is one possible world. Therefore (or ergal, as Sir Andrew might say) god created the earth 6,000 years (earth years as years are measured in our possible world) ago in the actual world. Quod erat demonstrandum. Scilicet. Pedicabo ego te et irrumabo. Amen.
